Eye Care 101

Did you know that the skin around our eyes is some of the thinnest, most delicate skin on our entire body? Our eye areas are fragile, making them one of the first parts of the body to show signs of premature aging. That’s why no matter what age you are, it is never too early (or late) to start getting serious about your eye routine.

Some common concerns about the eye area are discoloration, fine lines, and puffiness. This can be caused by several factors including genetics, poor diet, lack of sleep, and allergies. However, the biggest culprit is premature aging. Most of our skin aging is caused by sun exposure. Exposure to UVA rays cause wrinkles and sagging and can be highly noticeable around the eyes, while UVB rays can contribute to an increased risk of developing cataracts, macular degeneration, eye growth, and eye cancer.

As we know, the best way to prevent premature aging is by wearing sunscreen! We wear sunscreen daily to protect our skin from harmful UV rays. So that should mean that we take extra precaution against the delicate skin around our eyes, right? Right!

But we know that a lot of people opt out of applying SPF around their eyes. The most common reason stated is the stinging or burning sensation that sunscreen leaves. What most people don’t know is that is typically caused by the use of chemical sunscreen filters.

With TiZO Eye Renewal SPF 20, we not only feature an all-mineral eye product that is gentle and non-irritating. We then took it one step further to address other common eye concerns. It is formulated with a multi-peptide complex that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and a botanical blend and caffeine to help firm, smooth, and depuff the eye area. And you know we couldn’t make a sunscreen product without antioxidants, so we used Selenium ferment along with Vitamins C & E to round out this incredible eye product.

Use TiZO Eye Renewal SPF 20 under and around the eyes, on the lids, and the brow bones to address all your eye concerns and keep this highly delicate area protected and looking bright and youthful.
